Potsdam district class ↓

The district league Potsdam 1965/66 was the 14th staging of the district league Potsdam carried out by the district technical committee (BFA) football Potsdam . It was the top division in the Potsdam district and the third highest in the league system in the DFV area .

After the runner-up in the previous season, this time BSG Motor Süd Brandenburg secured the district championship title and qualified for the promotion to the GDR league . There, the Brandenburgers took fourth place in season B and stayed in the district league.

The second representative of Motor Babelsberg , the BSG Lokomotive Brandenburg and last year's climber Motor Mögelin, was relegated to one of the subordinate district classes. In return, three out of four season winners rose from the district class for the following season. These were from season A tractor Pritzwalk , from season C Empor Neuruppin and from season D Motor Ludwigsfelde . The fourth climber was the runner-up from Season B Empor Potsdam . The winner in Season B was the second representation of Motor Süd Brandenburg for the third time in a row, which had no right of promotion after the first team missed promotion to the GDR league.

(*) After the dissolution of BSG Aufbau Jüterbog , the soccer department was taken over by the BSG Lokomotive Jüterbog.
(**) The DTSB decided at the end of 1965 to separate the football departments from the sports clubs. Since SC Potsdam did not play in the major league with its first team , they lost their sponsorship status. The football department was taken over on January 8, 1966 by BSG Motor Babelsberg .
