Gosta Odqvist

Gösta Odqvist (born January 9, 1913 in Stockholm ; † February 15, 2005 there ) was a Swedish lieutenant general .

Life

Gösta Odqvist joined the Swedish army in Strängnäs in 1935 and later switched to the air force, where he completed his pilot training and became a lieutenant in 1939 . From 1949 to 1951 he was head of a squadron , from 1951 to 1952 commander of the bombing and shooting school before he took over the Luftstridsskolan (F 20) in Uppsala as commander. From 1954 to 1959 he was commodore of the F1 association in Västerås and from 1964 to 1966 chief of the air force staff.
