history

The Güdderather Hof and the associated Niersmühle was an Odenkirchen fief and in 1509 belonged to Everhard v. Reifferscheid. In 1717 the manor and the mill were bequeathed to the Ursuline convent in Cologne . As part of the secularization , the mill was auctioned off in 1802 and passed to the Dapper (or Tapper) family, who had to pay a pension to the Ursuline monastery. In the course of time, the mill was owned by different families and also bore their names such as Düsselmühle - Dappertsmühle - Tappertsmühle and Roosenmühle . In 1930 the mill was stopped. The mill was left to decay and so the ruin was demolished in 2002.
