The GC-2 , also known as Autovía del Norte de Gran Canaria , is a trunk road on the Spanish island of Gran Canaria . It connects Las Palmas (on the northeast coast of the island) with the small town of Agaete (on the northwest coast) over a length of 32 km . Along with the GC-1 , which can be reached via the "Las Palmas bypass" ( GC-3 ), it is one of the main roads in Gran Canaria.

The Autovia opened in the late 1970s and initially only ran within Las Palmas. It was later extended to the west and finally extended to the coast in the 1980s and 1990s.
