The Autovia A-14 , Spanish Autovía de la Ribagorza , is a motorway in Spain . The motorway begins in Lleida and is expected to end in Sopeira in the future ; at the moment it is mostly just being planned. It was originally intended to run to the French border in the Val d'Aran , but the section behind Sopeira is now only planned as a national road N-230 to be expanded.
The Vielha tunnel in this section has already been expanded to three lanes (two lanes uphill to the south). The expansion planning of the difficult section in Ribagorza between Sopeira and El Pont de Suert along the Noguera Ribagorzana river dammed here is currently being carried out in parallel with the expansion planning of the motorway further south following the current end of the A-14 (2018).
