The northern motorway TF-5 , also called TF 5 or Autopista del Norte de Tenerife , is a motorway on the Spanish island of Tenerife . It connects the capital Santa Cruz de Tenerife with the city of Los Realejos south of Puerto de la Cruz (on the northwest coast) over a length of 39.5 km, touching ten of the 31 municipalities of Tenerife. Along with the southern TF-1 motorway, it is one of the main roads on the island.

Citizens protests and signature campaigns against the originally planned extension of the motorway to Icod de los Vinos . The local politicians are still in favor of the further expansion of the motorway via Icod de los Vinos, El Tanque to the Autopista del Sur near Santiago del Teide , so that a motorway ring would then be created.

The country road that has not yet been developed is also listed under TF-5.
