Georg Thies (actor, 1928)
Georg Thies , also Hans-Georg Thies (born May 30, 1928 in Insterburg , East Prussia , † December 12, 2001 in Berlin ) was a German actor.
Life
Georg Thies, who began at the theater, was a well-known actor in DEFA films and on GDR television, as well as a radio announcer and presenter. In the radio of the GDR he drew z. B. responsible for programs like Spass am Spass and Joker , he was involved in over 150 radio play productions. After 1990 he worked as a presenter for the Berlin radio station Radio Eins until 1994 .
Georg Thies also worked on several programs on GDR television. He was seen for several years in the satire show Tele-BZ , which mainly dealt with West German issues and also addressed the West Berlin audience. He also became known through the multi-year moderation of the traffic magazine.
