Georgenberg is a scattered settlement , locality and cadastral municipality of the Salzburg municipality of Kuchl . In the village lies the Georgenberg elevation and on top of it the St. Georg am Georgenberg branch church .

The location has been cultivated at least since the High Middle Ages . Georgenberg is first mentioned in a document in 1243 in the Salzburg document book, where a "mansum dimidium sub monte sancti Georgii" ( half of a manse at the foot of St. George's Mountain ) is mentioned.

The street Georgenberg connects the place with the Salzachtal street . At this is the post bus - stop Kuchl George Mountain , where a bus connection to Golling and after Hallein and Salzburg is.
