Goldbach is a district of the rural community Ilmtal-Weinstrasse in the Weimarer Land district in Thuringia .

Goldbach is located in the city triangle of Weimar , Apolda and Buttstädt, east of Liebstedt in the southeast of the Thuringian Basin in a shallow valley basin of the Kleiner Ettersberg .
history
1124 was the first documentary mention of this district in the archbishopric. Magdeburg 210 registered. The agricultural place has a horse farm. Up until December 31, 2013, Goldbach belonged to the Liebstedt community for decades, on this date it was spun off from the community because the Ilmtal-Weinstrasse administrative community became the Ilmtal-Weinstrasse rural community . Goldbach received district status again.
