Large Senate of the Federal Administrative Court

The Grand Senate is a panel of the Federal Administrative Court .

Jurisdiction

The competence of the Grand Senate results from § 11 VwGO . It decides if a senate of the court wishes to deviate from the decision of another senate of the BVerwG or the Grand Senate on a legal issue .

The Grand Senate consists of the President of the Federal Administrative Court and one judge from each of the revision senates, in which the President does not preside. As chairman, the president is an ex officio member. His representative is the longest serving member of the Grand Senate.
