from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Big Schiller Prize of the Swiss Schiller Foundation was a Swiss literary prize . It was awarded at irregular intervals from 1920 to 2012 and has been endowed with 30,000 francs since 1988 . The life's work of outstanding Swiss writers from all four language regions was honored with the Grand Schiller Prize.

In 2012 the Great Schiller Prize was awarded for the last time; it was replaced by the Swiss literary prizes , including the Grand Prix for literature , which the federal government has awarded since 2012/13. The Swiss Schiller Foundation continues to award awards for a lifetime's work and for individual works as well as sponsorship prizes, differentiated according to the four Swiss language regions.
