coat of arms

Blazon : In gold, a black, eight-spoke, broken wheel with knobs on the outside between the spokes, of which a piece of rim is missing in the upper left quarter; covered by a green, chopped oblique left bar.

The coat of arms, awarded in 1985, consists of a broken, eight-spoke wheel on a gold background with iron spikes on the outside. The wheel is partially covered by a green, chopped sloping beam. The broken straightening wheel with the iron prongs is the hallmark of Saint Catherine , the church patroness of Gschwandt. The chopped sloping beam refers to the emergence of the place through clearing.
