Gustav Müller (politician, 1860)
Gustav Müller (born April 14, 1860 in Biel , † May 24, 1921 in Bern ) was a Swiss politician ( SP ).
Political career
Originally secretary of the Bernese Liberals , Müller joined the Social Democratic Party of Switzerland (SP) in 1890 at the suggestion of Albert Steck . From 1895 to 1920 he was the first social democratic councilor of the city of Bern, from 1918 to 1920 as city president . In the years 1898–1921, Müller was also a Grand Councilor in Bern . After the parliamentary elections in 1911 he was a member of the National Council until his death . In 1919 he became party president of the SP.
