Haidenaab is a district of the municipality of Speichersdorf in the Upper Franconian district of Bayreuth .

location

The church village is located in the district of the same name , about 3.5 km northeast of the core town of Speichersdorf an der Haidenaab , a western source river of the Naab . The Nuremberg – Cheb railway separates it from the neighboring town of Göppmannsbühl am Berg. North-east of the location extending the 75.44 ha large protected area Haidenaabtal and Gabellohe , a connecting road leads to the county road BT 18 and thus to the south extending B 22 .

history

After the community was founded in the 19th century, Haidenaab consisted of the districts Beerhof , Göppmannsbühl am Bach , Haidenaab, Lettenhof and Tauritzmühle . In 1946 the former community of Göppmannsbühl am Berg was added. In the course of the regional reform in Bavaria , the municipality of Haidenaab was incorporated into Speichersdorf in 1972.

Attractions

In the list of architectural monuments in Speicherersdorf , two architectural monuments are listed for Haidenaab :

  • The branch church of St. Ursula in Haidenaab is a hipped roof building with pilaster strips and a southern choir flank tower. It was built by Georg Diller in 1734. The tower with a pointed helmet dates from 1790.
  • The former castle (Haidenaab 15) is a two-storey hipped roof building with pilaster strips and a figure niche. It was built around 1700.
