Wirbenz is a district of the municipality of Speichersdorf in the Upper Franconian district of Bayreuth .
The parish village is located east of the main town of Speichersdorf on the federal road 22 , on the Haidenaab cycle path and on the Haidenaab , a western source river of the Naab in the Wirbenz district . North the 75.44 extends ha large nature reserve Haidenaabtal and Gabellohe .

In the list of architectural monuments in Speicherersdorf , four architectural monuments are listed for Wirbenz :
- The parish church of St. Johannis (Wirbenz 45), marked 1903, is a neo-Gothic building with a facade tower , gable roof and recessed choir .
- The former mill (Wirbenz 1), labeled "1843", is a two-story hipped roof building made of sandstone blocks . She wears corner pillows and a cornice .
- The cemetery wall , dating from the end of the 19th century, consists of sandstone blocks with gothic pillars.
- The residential building (Wirbenz 15 and 16), labeled "1850", is a two-story, massive half- hipped roof with a cornice . There is a sundial above the door .
history
The former municipality of Wirbenz was completely incorporated into Speicherersdorf in 1972 as part of the regional reform in Bavaria .
