The Hamburger Judo-Verband eV (HJV) is the state judo association of the Hamburg judo clubs and their judoka . The Hamburg Judo Association is a member of the German Judo Federation (DJB). The HJV is the longest-serving national association within the DJB and is one of the founding members of the DJB, which was founded in 1953.
The Budo martial arts Kyūdō , Kendo , Jiu-Jitsu and Aikido are also represented by the Hamburg Judo Association .
founding
The Hamburger Judoverband eV was founded on October 3, 1949 by representatives of nine clubs with around 400 judoka. The founding clubs were the Bergedorfer Turnerschaft , the TH-Eilbeck , the BKSV Goliath , the SV Police , the Post SV , the Reichsbahn Moorfleth and the SV Sasel . In addition, the HEW and the YMCA were involved in the establishment, but were not entitled to vote, as they were not affiliated with the Hamburger Sportbund . Eugen Hölzel ( THE ), deputy Willy Scherff, treasurer and secretary Franz Müller, press officer Hans Hoffmann, technical director Adolf Schaffer (BKSV Goliath) were elected to the first board of directors .
Performance / sport promotion
The HJV promotes and operates the training and further training in judo teaching and examination as well as the judging system in Hamburg in the Hamburg State Performance Center (LLZ) and in the associated member clubs. The HJV also provides trainers for the elite sports school in Hamburg, where judo is included in school lessons.
Competitive sport
The HJV regularly organizes individual and team competitions. Winners of the Hamburg championships qualify for participation in national competitions as representatives of Hamburg, such as the German championship of the DJB.
Judo Bundesliga
With the Hamburg Judo Team (HJT), the HJV operates a Hamburg community team that takes part in the Judo Bundesliga . In 2016, the HJT became the German judo team champion for the first time and thus achieved a historic victory.
Hamburg League
The HJV operates a regional team league, the Hamburg League. This league is open to all Hamburg judoka. The only condition of having the DJB's competition license.
