Until the 1960s, Hammermühle was part of the Neuhof an der Zenn market in the Neustadt an der Aisch-Bad Windsheim district , Middle Franconia . In the meantime it has merged into the houses at Industriestrasse 25, 25a and 27.

geography

The wasteland lies on the Leitenbach, which is a right tributary of the Zenn . Approx. The Kolmberg ( 411  m above sea level ) rises 0.5 km to the northwest, and the Zeilberg ( 369  m above sea level ) about 0.5 km southwest . The county road NEA 10 leads to Neuhof on state road 2255 (0.7 km north) or at the ostrich mill over after Hirsch Neuses (2,4 km to the east).

history

Towards the end of the 18th century, the hammer mill belonged to Neuhof. The mill had the Brandenburg-Bayreuth caste office Neuhof as landlord . Under the Prussian administration (1792-1806) of the Principality of Bayreuth, the hammer mill was given house number 98 in Neuhof.

As part of the community edict, Hammermühle was assigned to the Neuhof an der Zenn tax district, which was formed in 1811 . It also belonged to the municipal community of Neuhof an der Zenn, founded in 1813 (from 1818: rural community Neuhof).

The hammer mill was also called the middle mill.

The place has been predominantly Evangelical-Lutheran since the Reformation. The residents of the Evangelical Lutheran denomination are parish to St. Kilian (Neuhof an der Zenn) , the residents of the Roman Catholic denomination to St. Michael (Wilhermsdorf) .
