history
The place is first mentioned by name in 1132 in the foundation deed of the Heilsbronn monastery as "Velsendorf". In the following period the place name changed to "Velsenberc" (1147), "Velkebrech" (1218) and finally "Veldebrecht" (1260). The monastery acquired a total of eight properties there, seven of which were deserted during the Thirty Years' War .
Towards the end of the 18th century there were eleven properties in Oberfeldbrecht (6 courtyards, 1 estate, 2 houses, 1 forge, 1 community shepherd's house). The high court exercised the Brandenburg-Bayreuth municipal bailiff's office in Markt Erlbach . The Neuhof caste office held the village and community rulership as well as the lordship over all properties .
In 1810 Oberfeldbrecht came to the new Kingdom of Bavaria . As part of the community edict , it was assigned to the Neuhof tax district formed in 1811 . In 1813 the rural community Oberfeldbrecht was formed, to which Rothenhof and Unterfeldbrecht belonged. With the second community edict (1818) Unterfeldbrecht broke up and formed an independent rural community. The municipality of Oberfeldbrecht was under the administration and jurisdiction of the Markt Erlbach regional court and the Ipsheim rent office for the financial administration . On November 9, 1824, Unterfeldbrecht was again incorporated into Oberfeldbrecht. From 1862 Oberfeldbrecht was administered by the Neustadt an der Aisch district office (renamed the Neustadt an der Aisch district in 1938 ) and from 1856 by the Markt Erlbach rent office (1920–1929: Markt Erlbach tax office , from 1929: Fürth tax office ). The jurisdiction remained until 1879 with the district court of Markt Erlbach, 1880–1959 district court of Markt Erlbach , from 1959 district court of Fürth . The municipality had an area of 9.313 km².
On January 1, 1972, Oberfeldbrecht was incorporated into Neuhof an der Zenn as part of the regional reform .
