Eichenmühle is a district of the Neuhof an der Zenn market in the Neustadt an der Aisch-Bad Windsheim district in Middle Franconia .

geography

The wasteland lies on the Zenn . The Hirschberg rises around 750 meters southeast of the village . The state road 2413 leading to Trautskirchen (5 km west) and on Adelsdorf over to State Street in 2252 (2.7 km to the northeast). A community road leads to Neuhof to state road 2255 (2 km southwest).

history

In 1726, the village miller Peter Jordan bought the 1 12 day factory Eichwiese. In 1741 the mill was built on the property.

Towards the end of the 18th century, the oak mill belonged to Neuhof. The mill had the Brandenburg-Bayreuth caste office Neuhof as landlord . Under the Prussian administration (1792–1806) of the Principality of Bayreuth, the oak mill was given house numbers 101 and 102 in Neuhof.

As part of the community edict, Eichenmühle was assigned to the Neuhof an der Zenn tax district formed in 1811 . It also belonged to the municipal community of Neuhof an der Zenn, founded in 1813 (from 1818: rural community Neuhof).

In 1976 the sawmill belonging to the mill was shut down.

Oak mill
  • Mill at the Zenn. 1741. Two-storey building with three to five axes, solid ground floor, toothed corner cuboids; Plastered except for the half-timbered gable and the first floor. Webbing. In the gable there are K-struts, round-arched elevator hatch, elevator roof, sphere, flag. The door is drilled with a profile and 17 PID 41 in the lintel (mill wheel in between). Profiled window frames and sills. Part of the mill raised with transverse gables.

religion

The place has been predominantly Evangelical-Lutheran since the Reformation. The residents of the Evangelical Lutheran denomination are parish to St. Kilian (Neuhof an der Zenn) , the residents of the Roman Catholic denomination to St. Michael (Wilhermsdorf) .
