The Heligoland Bight is a German sea bay of the North Sea of up to 56 m deep southeastern part of the German Bight , the front of the Danish -English- Dutch coast at Helgoland is located. Geographical location and demarcation

From there it turns south along the coast of the state of Wursten with a small area of ​​the Lower Saxony Wadden Sea National Park and the adjacent Hamburg Wadden Sea National Park . The island of Neuwerk with its neighboring islands of Scharhörn and Nigehörn is located in the last-mentioned national park or Wadden Sea area . Subsequently, the south-east delimitation continues along the coast of the state of Wursten with other coastal areas of the Lower Saxony Wadden Sea National Park and the Hoher Knechtsand sandbank there further south to the mouth of the Weser funnel near Bremerhaven .
