Hlubočice (German Hlubotschitz ) is a residential area in the city of Luže in the Czech Republic . It is located five kilometers southeast of Luže and belongs to the Okres Chrudim .

geography

The scattered settlement Hlubočice extends in the wooded valley of the brook Hlubočický potok in the Novohradská stupňovina ( Neuschlosser stepland ). The Kozinec (419 m nm) rises to the south-east and the Na Průhoně (423 m nm) to the west.

Neighboring towns are Drahoš and Rvasice in the north, Doubravice in the northeast, Leština , Podchlum and Chlum in the east, Dolany in the southeast, Střítež and Hluboká in the south, Zhoř , Zadní Borek and Pod Lhotou in the southwest, Brdo in the west and Doly and Rabouň in the northwest.

history

The first houses in the narrow valley floor of the Hlubočický potok were probably built in the 18th century. The settlement belonging to the Richenburg estate was first mentioned in writing in 1789. After the introduction of compulsory schooling at the end of the 18th century, the children from Hlubočice were initially educated in Richenburg . From 1823 school lessons took place in Brdo. Hlubočice was subordinate to the local judge from Brdo.

In 1835, the in consisted Chrudim district located scattered rustic village Hlubočitz of 12 houses where 62 people lived. The parish was in Richenburg. Until the middle of the 19th century, Rabaun remained subordinate to the rule of Richenburg.

After the abolition of patrimonial Hlubočice formed from 1849 a district of the municipality Doly in the judicial district of Skuch . From 1868 the village belonged to the political district Hohenmauth . The chapel was consecrated in 1933. In 1961 Hlubočice was assigned to the Okres Chrudim. In 1970 Hlubočice had 3 residents. In March 1980, Hlubočice lost its status as a district of Doly and was assigned to the district Rabouň. On January 1, 1981, Hlubočice was incorporated into Luže together with Doly.

The village of Hlubočice belongs to the Rabouň district and is part of the Doly cadastral district.

Attractions

  • Chapel of the Virgin Mary of Lourdes, consecrated in 1933
  • Žižkovy šance, the fortification on the plateau northwest of the village is said to have been built during the Hussite Wars. The preserved two and a half meters high wall and the wide, up to three meters deep moat are probably of Celtic origin and belonged to the fortifications of the oppidum. A raised lawn in the middle of a meadow was formerly called Žižkův stůl ( Žižka's table ).
