Voletice (German Woletitz ) is a district of the city of Luže in the Czech Republic . It is located one and a half kilometers north of Luže and belongs to the Okres Chrudim .

geography

Voletice is located on the right side above the valley of the Novohradka ( Wolschinka ) on a planer arm in the Novohradská stupňovina ( Neuschlosser stepland ). State road II / 305 between Luže and Stradouň runs through the village . To the southeast rise the Farářství (445 m nm) and the Klapalka (380 m nm), in the south the Košumberk (376 m nm) and the Chlumek (379 m nm) and west of the Dobrkovský kopec (338 m nm). The Voletický rybník pond is located southwest of the village.

Neighboring towns are Martinice, Jenišovice and Štěnec in the north, Srbce in the north-east, Domanice and Řepníky in the east, Střemošice and Bílý Kůň in the south-east, Košumberk , Chlumek and Luže in the south, Horní Radim in the south-west, Radim in the west and Lozice in the north-west.

history

The first written mention of the village took place in 1349. The oldest news about the church comes from 1350, when the parish of Voletice was assigned to the newly established bishopric Litomyšl . During the Thirty Years' War the parish of Voletice became extinct and the church became a branch church of the Luscher parish.

In 1835 the village of Woletitz , located in the Chrudim district , consisted of 23 houses in which 101 people, including a Protestant family, lived. There was a branch church of St. Georg with God's field. The parish was Lusche . Woletitz remained subordinate to Gut Koschumberg until the middle of the 19th century .

After the abolition of patrimonial formed Voletice or Oletice 1849 with the districts Domanice and Srbce a municipality in the judicial district Hohenmauth . From 1868 the municipality belonged to the political district Hohenmauth , Srbce had already become independent at the end of the 1850s. In 1869 Voletice had 97 inhabitants and consisted of 23 houses. In 1900 there were 102 people in Voletice, in 1910 there were 99. In 1930 the village had 88 inhabitants. The volunteer fire brigade was not founded until the 1940s. After the February revolution , the peasants resisted collectivization for a long time; After heavy pressure from the district committee, a JZD was formed in 1957 . Since 1961 the village belongs to Okres Chrudim. On April 30, 1976 Voletice was incorporated into Luže. In the 2001 census, there were 55 people in the 22 houses in Voletice.

Attractions

  • Church of St. George, it has been documented as a parish church since the middle of the 14th century. The original wooden church was replaced by a stone building in the late Gothic style at the beginning of the 17th century. Renovations were carried out in the first half of the 18th century. The church is surrounded by a cemetery. The nave's wooden ceiling dates from 1626, the main altar was created in the second half of the 17th century. In 1903 the ark of St. George handed over to the National Museum with panel paintings from the end of the 16th century .
