history

The first documentary mention of Řepníky took place in 1349 as part of the newly created diocese Litomyšl . An older deed of donation from King Vladislav II for the Premonstratensian monastery Litomyšl from 1167, in which the Repine farm is also listed, has proven to be a forgery . Bishop Johann von Bucca assigned the Repine farm together with Boží Dům to the Podlažice monastery in 1398 to settle old disputes . After the monastery was destroyed by the Hussites in 1421, the estate fell to secular owners and was transferred by King Sigismund to Wilhelm Kostka von Postupitz together with the possessions of the former diocese of Leitomischl in 1434 . His son, the captain of the Chrudim district, Zdeniek Kostka from Postupice, had a new castle built on the hill above Boží Dům as the rulership center between 1450 and 1465 , which he called Nový hrad . After the Kostka von Postupitz family died out, King Ferdinand I enfeoffed Jan Žatecky von Weikersdorf with the fallen castle of Nový hrad in 1559 . The following owners were the Lobkowitz Boogers from 1580 . Řepníky was the seat of a rychta for the villages Řepníky, Střemošice and Zádolí .

When the inheritance was divided between the brothers Nikolaus and Johann Viktorin von Lobkowitz, the villages of Rychta Řepníky were separated from the rule Nový hrad and the rule Hrochow-Teinitz, which fell to Jan Viktorin von Lobkowitz, was added. Jan Viktorin von Lobkowitz died in 1595, the new owner of the over-indebted rule became the creditor Johann Kolowrat -Bezdružický. After the Battle of White Mountain , the lordship belonging to Ludwig Kolowrat-Bezdružický was confiscated. The following owners were Barons Zeller von Rosenthal from 1622 to 1706. The Řepníky parish became extinct during the Thirty Years' War and the church became a branch of the parish church of Hrochow-Teinitz. Johann Wenzel Zeller von Rosenthal bequeathed the rule to the Premonstratensian monastery of Hradisko in 1706 . After the completion of the new church in 1783, a parish was founded in Řepníky. After the abolition of the monastery, the rule of Hrochow-Teinitz fell to the Moravian Religious Fund in 1786 and was subject to the Imperial and Royal Bohemian State Property Administration; in 1824 it was sold to Georg Prokop von Lilienwald.

In 1835, the in consisted Chrudim district situated village Repnik from 91 houses, where 515 people lived. Under the patronage of the authorities were the parish church of St. Laurentius, the parish and the school. There was also a retreat in the village. Řepnik was the parish for Swařen ( Svařeň ), Střemoschitz , Pustina and the Hrochow-Teinitzer share of white horses . In 1844 the Lilienwald heirs sold the estate to the textile manufacturer Peter Josef Schlechta . Until the middle of the 19th century, Řepnik remained subject to the allodial rule of Hrochow-Teinitz.

After the abolition of patrimonial Řepníky formed from 1849 a community in the judicial district of Hohenmauth . From 1868 the community belonged to the political district Hohenmauth . In the course of the municipal reform of 1960, in which the Okres Vysoké Mýto was abolished, the municipality came to Okres Chrudim ; at the same time the incorporation of Pěšice and Popovec took place. Since 2007 the community belongs to the Okres Ústí nad Orlicí . Řepníky has had a coat of arms and a banner since 2015.
