Rudoltice (German Rudelsdorf ) is a municipality with 1,008 inhabitants (2005) in the Czech Republic . It is located 3 km west of the town of Lanškroun in the Okres Ústí nad Orlicí .
history
Rudoltice was probably already around 1250 to 1270 and before the first documentary mention in 1304 a fortified place with a landlord. The name Rudoltice probably goes back to the name of the locator ("settlement agent") who acquired the space from the landlord to suspend a place (Rudelsdorf = Rudolfsdorf , the village of Rudolf ). Other traditional names for Rudoltice are Rudolphi villa , Rudlstof , Kraabesn and Kraabes Zwecka .
In 1304, King Wenzel II gave Rudoltice together with a number of other localities ( Sichelsdorf , Zohsee , Olbersdorf , Lukau, etc.) to the Cistercian monastery Königsaal , which it should serve as a donation . From 1358 to 1421 the diocese Leitomischl came into the possession of the Landskron - Landsberg rule and thus also into the possession of Rudelsdorf. After the death of the Rudelsdorf erbrichters Heinrich, with a document from the Leitomischler bishop Johannes von Neumarkt in 1364, the Rudelsdorf inheritance court was transferred to Nikolaus Seidel Maß from Michelsdorf. In the Hussite Wars the diocese Litomysl went under. The rule of Rudelsdorf fell to the Hussites and the Taborites .
Rudelsdorf owned one of the oldest churches in the area. On the ceiling beams of the church there were coats of arms of the noble families Kostka von Postupitz , von Pernstein and Hrzan von Harasov . This is a direct indication that Rudelsdorf was taken over by Messrs Kostka von Postupitz after the Hussite Wars and from 1507 belonged to the von Pernstein family, who sold the place to Adam Hrzan von Harasov in 1588 . After his death, his sons inherited the property, but were suspected of having participated in the uprising. In order to avoid confiscation of their property, they sold their possessions to the Lords of Liechtenstein in 1619 .
