Žampach (German Sandbach ) is a municipality in the Okres Ústí nad Orlicí in the Czech Republic .
history
The village of Žampach developed from a settlement near the Žampach castle . It is mentioned for the first time in 1513 and belonged to the Žampach lordship, which had belonged to the von Pottenstein lords from the second half of the 14th century .
At the beginning of the 17th century the village belonged to the noble von Oppersdorf family . After the death of Friedrich d. Ä. From Oppersdorf it went to the Königgrätzer Jesuit order in 1630 . In 1672 he had a baroque summer residence built in Žampach. After the abolition of the order in 1773, the owners changed several times. The development of the village remained insignificant.
