Žichlínek (German Sichelsdorf , previously also Sisstoff , Waazen and 1304 Sichlingsdorf ) is a municipality with 866 inhabitants in the Czech Republic .

geography

Žichlínek is located in Pardubický kraj ( Czech Republic ) south of the town of Lanškroun on the Moravská Sázava river and extends about three kilometers from north to south.

Neighboring towns are Lanškroun and Sázava in the north, Lubník in the east, Tatenice and Krasíkov in the south-east, Rychnov na Moravě in the south, Květná in the south-west, Luková in the west and Rudoltice in the north-west.

history

The community was first mentioned in 1304 as Sichlingsdorf . From its founding until its expulsion in 1945/1946, it was predominantly inhabited by German Moravians . In 1886 the inheritance court in Sichelsdorf passed to the Neugebauer family through inheritance. Ignaz Vincenz Neugebauer ran a cloth manufacturer in Landskron and was supplier to the imperial-royal and Princely Liechtenstein court.

Population development

In 1869 the place had 949 inhabitants, in 1910 there were 861 inhabitants and in 1939 708 inhabitants lived in Žichlínek.

Attractions

  • The church of St. John the Baptist is mentioned in the 14th century as a citadel ( fortified church ) Krotenfurt and replaced by a new building in 1384, 1462 and 1532; a wooden church from 1678 was followed by the construction of today's baroque church from 1718 to 1725.

  • Natural monuments: elm and two linden trees (near old farmhouses)
