Těchonín (German Linsdorf ) is a municipality in Okres Ústí nad Orlicí , Czech Republic . The place is located in the southeast of the Eagle Mountains in the Valley of the Silent Eagles ( Tichá Orlice ), about 10 km west of the town of Králíky .

The Center for Biological Protection ( Centrum biologické ochrany Těchonín ) is located in Těchotín , a facility of the Czech Armed Forces with a special hospital for work and medical care under the highest biological protection levels BSL 3 and 4. The center is the only medical facility of its kind in the Czech Republic.

history

Linsdorf, which belonged to the Geiersberg rule , was first mentioned in a document in 1514. The year 1393 mentioned in the local chronicle cannot be documented as the first mention. The row village belonged to the German settlement area and was close to the German-Czech language border. The residents lived from agriculture and home weaving. A glassworks was abandoned. Since 1899 Linsdorf had a railway connection. In 1880 1,078 people lived in Linsdorf, in 1939 the place including the district Neudörfel had 731 inhabitants.

In 1945 and 1946, most of the German population was expelled and Slovaks displaced from eastern Slovakia were settled. In 1960 Celné was incorporated.

The municipality Těchonín consists of the districts Celné ( Zöllnei ), Stanovník ( Neudörfel ) and Těchonín.
