Leština (German Leschtina ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is located eight kilometers southeast of Luže and belongs to the Okres Ústí nad Orlicí .

geography

Leština is located in the basin of the stream Leštinský potok in the Novohradská stupňovina ( Neuschlosser stepland ). Road II / 357 runs through the village between Vysoké Mýto and Nové Hrady , from which road II / 356 to Luže branches off to the southwest of the village . To the east rises the Na Chlumku or Homolský kopec (495 m nm), southwest of the Kozinec (419 m nm). The Údolí Krounky a Novohradky Nature Park stretches along the Novohradka to the south and west .

Neighboring towns are Dvořiště, Habřiny and Libecina in the north, Zeleny current Javorníček, Pustinky and Vysoká in the Northeast, Podhořany u Nových HRADU the east, Rybníček and Mokrá Lhota in the southeast, Haberka, Bor u Skutče , Zderaz and Dolanský Mlyn in the south, Dolany , Sobotka, Podchlum and Chlum in the southwest, Hlubočice , Brdo and Rvasice in the west and Drahoš, Rabouň , U Prokopů, Bílý Kůň and Doubravice in the northwest.

history

Leština was probably founded at the end of the 14th century. The village was first mentioned on April 28, 1559 when King Ferdinand I inherited the Nový hrad castle with the villages of Leština, Doubravice, Dvořiště, Libecina, Javorník, Podhořany and Rybníček in the land table Jan Žatecky von Weikersdorf. The following owners were the Lobkowitz Boogers from 1580 . At the beginning of the 17th century Nový hrad belonged to Anna Popel von Lobkowitz, from whom her husband Paul Sixtus von Trautson inherited it in 1604 . In 1749 Johann Joseph von Trautson sold the rule to Anna Barbara Harbuval-Chamaré born. Baroness von Sannig († 1773). Her son Johann Anton Joseph Harbuval-Chamaré had Neuschloß Castle built between 1774 and 1777 . On the steep ascent of Leitomischler Strasse, the Grünbaum settlement was built at the end of the 18th century at the Ausspanne zum Grünen Baum .

In 1835, the in consisted Chrudim District village located Leschtina or Lesstina of 62 houses in which 411 people, including six Protestant families lived. There was a farm in the village. The Dolaner and Wapenker mills lay apart. The settlement of Grünbaum and Zelený Strom on Leitomischler Strasse, consisting of 26 houses including the “Grüner Baum” inn, was consolidated in Leschtina . The parish was Neuschloß . In 1857 454 people lived in the 70 houses in Leschtina . Until the middle of the 19th century, Leschtina was always subject to the rule of Neuschloß .

After the abolition of patrimonial formed Leština / Leschtina with the district Zeleny current / Green Tree a municipality in the judicial district Hohenmauth . From 1868 the community belonged to the political district Hohenmauth . In 1890 Leština had grown to 82 houses and had 447 inhabitants. In 1921 there were 422 people in the parish. In the course of the municipal reform of 1960, the Okres Vysoké Mýto was repealed; Leština was assigned to the Okres Chrudim and at the same time Doubravice (with Dvořiště) and Podhořany u Nových Hradů was incorporated. Since January 1st 2007 Leština belongs to the Okres Ústí nad Orlicí . The municipality belongs to the Maštale microregion.

Community structure

The municipality Leština consists of the districts Doubravice ( Daubrawitz ), Dvořiště ( Dworschischt ), Leština ( Leschtina ) and Podhořany u Nových Hradů ( Podhorschan ). Leština also includes the settlements Dolanský Mlýn ( Dolan Mill ), Haberka ( Habersky ), Podchlum, Rvasice ( Rwatschitz ), Sobotka and Zelený Strom ( Grünbaum ).

The municipality is divided into the cadastral districts of Doubravice u Leštiny, Leština and Podhořany u Nových Hradů.
