During the Latène period , on the high spur between the Krounka and Novohradka valleys, there was probably a Celtic oppidum , protected by high ramparts and deep moats.

The first documentary mention of Rabouň took place in the country table in 1392 , when Smil Flaška von Pardubitz handed over the Richenburg with the associated 62 villages to Otto von Bergow and Boček II from Podiebrad . As a result of the Hussite Wars, the village was desolate in the middle of the 15th century.

After compulsory schooling was introduced at the end of the 18th century, the children from Rabouň were initially educated in Richenburg . From 1823 school lessons took place in Brdo. Rabouň was subordinate to the local judge of Brdo.

In 1835, the in consisted Chrudim district located scattered rustic village Rabaun 11 houses where 54 people lived. Most of the houses were on the hill; some - including a mill - on the Neuschlosser Bach. The parish was in Richenburg. Until the middle of the 19th century, Rabaun remained subordinate to the rule of Richenburg.

After the abolition of patrimonial Raboun formed from 1849 a district of the municipality Doly in the judicial district Skuch . From 1868 the village belonged to the political district Hohenmauth . In 1869 Rabouň, Hlubočice and Rvasice together had 127 inhabitants and consisted of 26 houses. In 1900 there were 162 people living in the three villages, in 1910 there were 156. In 1930 Rabouň, Hlubočice and Rvasice had 115 inhabitants. 1961 Rabouň was assigned to the Okres Chrudim. Hlubočice and Rvasice lost their status as districts in March 1980 and were assigned to the district Rabouň. On January 1, 1981 Rabouň was incorporated together with Doly to Luže.
