Chlum is a district of the municipality of Hluboká in the Czech Republic . It is located six kilometers southeast of Luže and belongs to the Okres Chrudim .

geography

Chlum is located in the Novohradská stupňovina ( Neuschlosser stepland ) on the edge of the nature park Údolí Krounky a Novohradky on a spur between the valleys of the Novohradka and its tributary Hlubočický potok. The Kozinec (419 m nm) rises to the south-east.

Neighboring towns are Střemošice and Doubravice in the north, Podchlum and Dvořiště in the Northeast, Sobotka, Leština , Podhořany u Nových HRADU and Mokrá Lhota in the east, Nové Hrady and Dolany in the southeast, Střítež in the south, Hluboká , Zhoř and Zadní Borek in the southwest, Lhota u Skutče and Brdo in the west and Hlubočice , Doly , Rabouň , Rvasice and Bílý Kůň in the north-west.

history

The first written mention of Chlum was in 1392.

In 1835 the scattered rustic village of Chlum in the Chrudim district consisted of 19 houses in which 96 people lived. There was a mill in the village. Chlum was assigned to the Brdo court. The parish was in Richenburg . Until the middle of the 19th century, Chlum remained subject to the allodial rule of Richenburg .

After the abolition of patrimonial Chlum was part of the municipality of Doly in the judicial district of Skuch . From 1868 the village belonged to the political district Hohenmauth . In 1869, Chlum had 73 inhabitants, in 1890 there were 105. In 1949 the village was umgemeindet to Střítež. Since 1961 the village belongs to Okres Chrudim . In 1964 it was incorporated into Hluboká. In 1970 31 people lived in the village. On January 1, 1989, Chlum was incorporated into Skuteč ; since August 31, 1990 the village has belonged again to the municipality of Hluboká. In the 2001 census, Chlum consisted of 15 houses in which 22 people lived.
