history

Holasice was first mentioned in writing in 1350, when after the death of John of Deblyn and Lomnitz his daughter Margarethe and her husband Čeňek von Kunstadt inherited the Deblín rule . In 1415, Johann von Lomnitz sold the Deblyn Castle and its villages, including Holasice, to the knight Archléb von Veteřov. The next owners were the Lords of Boskowitz , who sold the Deblyn estate to the royal city of Brno in 1466 . In the hoof register of 1674 two properties are listed for Holasice. In 1749 the village still consisted of two farms. At that time, the Lažánek local seal was also used in Holasice . After the church was rebuilt and expanded, a locality was set up in Lažánky in 1786, to which Holasice belonged. In the same year school lessons started in Lažánky, which the children from Holasice and Maršov also attended. In the Josephine cadastre of 1787 7 house numbers are recorded for Hollasitz . In 1839 Holasice consisted of six houses and had 45 inhabitants. Until the middle of the 19th century, Holasice was always part of Brno.

After the abolition of patrimonial Holasice formed from 1850 a district of the municipality Lažanky in the district administration Brno and the judicial district Tischnowitz . To the west of the village, the Kosová colony was established, in which twelve small lime kilns were operated. From 1896 Holasice belonged to the newly established district administration of Tischnowitz. In 1900 the village had grown to ten houses and had 73 inhabitants. Between the kaolin mine near Lažánky and the Veverská Bítýška train station , a cable car was built in 1911 to transport the kaolin to the Kuřim – Veverská Bítýška railway line . It led south past Holasice. In 1921 there were eleven houses in Holasice, in which 78 people lived. The lime burner colony Kosová was dissolved and demolished around 1950. In 1957 there were 19 houses in Holasice, in which 60 people lived. In 1961 Holasice was assigned to the Okres Brno-venkov. In 1991 the village had 23 residents. At the 2001 census, 31 people lived in Holasice's 13 houses. Currently the place consists of 18 houses and has 25 inhabitants.
