Geographical location
Holland lies in the northeast of Orleans County on the border with Canada. There are several lakes in the area of the town. The largest is Holland Pond in the northeast . To the north and northeast of this are the Beaver Pond and the Turtle Pond . There are several small streams in the town's area. The surface of the town is hilly, the highest point is the centrally located 711 m high Mount John .

history
Timothy Andrews and other settlers received the grant on March 8, 1787. The town was founded on October 26, 1789. The first meeting of the grant holders was held on June 8, 1795 in Greensboro. The first settlers arrived in Holland in 1800. It was Edmund Elliot and Joseph Cowal. The town's inaugural session took place on March 14, 1805.
