The NT 700 V Deauville [ do.vil ] is a motorcycle from the vehicle manufacturer Honda . The Tourer was presented on September 28, 2006 at the Salon Paris two-wheeler fair and manufactured in Spain by Montesa under the factory codes RC 52 and RC 59 until 2012. The sales name is derived from a French seaside resort .

Technical specifications

drive

The liquid-cooled two-cylinder engine produced from 680.2 cc capacity, a rated power of 48 kW (65 hp) and a maximum torque of 66 Nm at a speed of 6,500 min -1 . The transversely installed V-engine has a cylinder bank angle of 52 degrees. The bore of the four-stroke engine has been enlarged from 79 to 81 mm in diameter compared to the previous model NT 650 V. The two pistons have a stroke of 66 mm with a compression ratio of 10: 1. A chain-driven, overhead camshaft (SOHC) , which controls two inlet and two exhaust valves, rotates in each cylinder head .

The motorcycle accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in 5.4 s and reaches a top speed of 185 km / h.

Power transmission

The primary drive takes place via gears. Power is separated by a multi-plate wet clutch operated mechanically by means of a cable, while torque is converted by a five-speed gearbox. A cardan shaft in the secondary drive transfers the torque from the gearbox output to the rear axle.

Electrical system

The starter battery has a capacity of 14 ampere hours and supplies the electric starter . The alternator generates an electrical output of 452 watts.

Fuel supply

The mixture is formed by a fuel injection called PGM-FI instead of a carburetor in the NT 650 V. The average fuel consumption is approx. 5.5 l per 100 km at a speed of 120 km / h. The fuel tank has a volume of 19.7 l, of which 3.5 l are in reserve. The manufacturer recommends using unleaded petrol with a knock resistance of at least 95 octane. The exhaust aftertreatment is carried out by a regulated catalytic converter and falls below the pollutant limit values of the Euro-3 emissions standard . The exhaust system is made of stainless steel.

landing gear

The chassis is built on a tubular steel frame and has a steel rocker arm with central spring strut and hydraulic spring preload at the rear. The front wheel is guided by a telescopic fork with a 43 mm standpipe diameter. A double disc brake with three-piston brake calipers decelerates on the front tire, and a disc brake with two-piston brake caliper at the rear. A combined anti-lock braking system known as Honda CBS assists the deceleration on both brakes.

Reviews

“It's not for stokers and curve cracks. Instead, the Deauville is an uncomplicated way to enjoy the landscape. Thanks to the great full equipment and the practical, integrated case, it becomes a good tourer with which you can spend many pleasant hours. "

- Moto Sport Switzerland

"Reliable, frugal, unapologetic. Yes, that is already in the Transalp . No wonder, since the same engine works as in the even more touristy Deauville. "

- Motorcycle catalog 2012

“Anyone who can make friends with the Honda - admittedly not fascinating at first glance - will be offered a motorcycle that will never again give you a guilty conscience. You just want to drive a lot with the Deauville. And what is even better: You can actually do it with this outrageously practical, comfortable, easy-care, handy, well-made, properly equipped and not at all expensive motorcycle. "

- Klaus Herder : Kradblatt

“In times when maxims such as more displacement, more power, less weight apply and determine sales success, the Deauville comes across like an ancestor from bygone times. It doesn't always have to be 130 hp and 1200 cubic meters that make a motorcycle a comfortable tourer. Here the Deauville swims consistently against the current. An increase in cubic capacity from 33 to 680 cubic centimeters is enough to ensure sufficient propulsion even in two-person operation. "
