Honest Lüttgenau
The Honschaft Lüttgenau , also in the spelling Lütgenau , was one of eight honors of the parish Wipperfürth in the district court of Steinbach in the Duchy of Berg from the Middle Ages until the 19th century .
The area of honor emerges from the chart of the Duchy of Berg by Carl Friedrich von Wiebeking in 1789. It was limited to the northeast by the border with Grafschaft Mark and to the southwest by the Wipperfürth external citizenship area. In the west it bordered on the Beverages , in the east on the other side of the Neye I and Neye II brooks were the Bovenholz and Biesenbach .
In the Honschaftsgebiet there were several enclaves that, due to historical developments, belonged to the Wipperfürth foreign citizenship . Several farms within the Honschaftsgebietsgebiet were therefore not themselves part of the Honschaft Lütgenau.
In addition to the titular village Unterlütgenau and the church village Egen, the honors included the living quarters and farms Beinghausen , Gardeweg , Platzweg , Kirchbüchel, Hasenburg , Forste , Lesebüchen , Hohenbüchen , Unterstien and Vossebrechen .
The residential areas and farms in Oberlüttgenau and Obernien were not part of the Honschaft, but were an exclave of foreign citizenship in the Honschaftsgebiet .
Under the French administration between 1806 and 1813, the Steinbach office was dissolved and the Honschaft was politically assigned to Mairie Wipperfürth in the canton of Wipperfürth in the Elberfeld arrondissement . 1816 transformed Prussia the Mairie to the mayor Wipperfurth in county Wipperfurth .
