Human Nature (band)
Human Nature is a boy band from New South Wales , Australia that has been successful since the mid-1990s. The singles Tellin 'Everybody , Wishes and Every Time You Cry made it onto the German charts in 1997 and 1998 .
Band history
Andrew and Michael Tierney met Phillip Burton and Toby Allen while attending an agricultural high school in New South Wales and formed the first band together called 4Trax in 1989. This was followed by appearances in the clubs of Sydney . The quartet received its first three awards for the live show . Now the musicians sent demo tapes to various record companies . In the early 1990s they signed a record deal and changed the band name to Human Nature.
The debut single You Got It (Goin 'On) was released in 1996 . The first album, Telling Everybody , went platinum three times in Australia , and the singles that were released also sold very well there. This success enabled the band, which has since been compared to the Backstreet Boys and 'N Sync , appearances as opening act on the tours of Michael Jackson and Celine Dion . Together with John Farnham , Human Nature released the single Every Time You Cry in 1998 , which became one of the top hits of the year Down Under .
Counting Down was the name of the 1999 album by Human Nature, which was created with the help of international songwriters in Sydney, Los Angeles and London . Through appearances in a version of Grease and the participation in an all-star tour with Beatles songs, which was initiated by George Martin , the teen group matured into an adult band. To date, various other albums and singles have been released, with which Human Nature was mainly successful at home.
Human Nature and Julie Anthony sang the Australian national anthem at the opening ceremony of the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney .
Since 2009 Human Nature had an arrangement in their own theater named after them in the Imperial Palace in Las Vegas . This guest performance, entitled Smokey Robinson presents: Human Nature - The Ultimate Celebration of the Motown Sound , lasted three and a half years and ended at the end of November 2012.
In 2019 the four band members were awarded the Order of Australia medal. They were also inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame that same year .
