I'm Your Baby Tonight is Whitney Houston's third studio album . It was released in November 1990, was a worldwide hit, and achieved platinum status in eleven countries.

history

As with the previous album, Houston worked with Narada Michael Walden and Michael Masser as producers. In addition, she relied on the services of the LA Reid and Babyface production team for this album . Singer Luther Vandross was also involved in the production. A collaboration with Stevie Wonder is also included on the album. The song material was not written by Houston herself, but she had more say on this album after the previous successes. With All the Man that I Need , which is about how someone else's love is enough to be happy, and Miracle , two ballads were included on the album.

Reception and awards

On the Allmusic.com website , Ashley S. Battel described the album as a "somewhat disappointing" release with "very few tracks to remember". The two ballads are the highlights. It awarded two out of five stars.

Houston received several music awards and nominations for the album, including four Billboard Music Awards . The singles on the album were also awarded or nominated.
