At the European Championships in Tampere in 2008 , he then succeeded in winning a bronze medal. He lost there again in his first fight against Juri Patrikejew, but then secured this bronze medal in the consolation round with victories over Rocco Daniele Ficara from Italy and Yannick Szczepaniak from France .
