The Iowa Township is one of 18 townships in Jackson County in the eastern part of the US -amerikanischen state of Iowa .

The Iowa Township is located in eastern Iowa on the western bank of the Mississippi , which forms the border with Illinois . The Wisconsin border is approximately 60 km north.
The Iowa Township is located at 42 ° 06'24 "north latitude and 90 ° 15'31" west longitude and extends over 119.6 km², which is spread over 113.4 km² of land and 6.2 km² of water.
The Iowa Township is located to the east of Jackson County and is bordered by Clinton County to the south . In the northeast, the Mississippi forms the border with Jo Daviess and Carroll Counties in Illinois. Within Jackson County, Iowa Township borders the Union Township in the southeast , Van Buren Township in the west and Washington Township in the northwest .
The far north of the township protrudes into the Upper Mississippi River National Wildlife and Fish Refuge , a large sanctuary on the Upper Mississippi that extends over the states of Iowa, Illinois, Wisconsin and Minnesota .
