Irina Igorewna Ologonowa ( Russian Ирина Игоревна Ологонова ; born January 21, 1990 ) is a Russian wrestler . In 2014, 2015 and 2016 she was vice world champion in the weight class up to 55 kg body weight.
Career
Irina Ologonowa comes from the Russian republic of Buryatia and began wrestling as a teenager in a sports club in Ulan-Ude . Your most important trainers are and were Andrei Busin, AW Rintschinow and S. Verkhuschin. She is a student, now lives in Moscow and starts for a wrestling club in that city.
She celebrated her first successes at international level in 2007. This year she won a bronze medal at the Junior European Championships (age group up to 20 years of age) in Belgrade in the weight class up to 55 kg behind Alena Filipowa, Belarus and Irina Chariw from Ukraine. At the 2007 European Junior Championships for the age group "Cadets" (up to the age of 17) in Warsaw, she only came 10th in the weight class up to 56 kg. She won a second medal as a junior wrestler in 2010 at the Junior World Championships in Budapest in the weight class up to 55 kg. She lost her first fight there against Julija Blahynja from Ukraine, but then won a bronze medal with victories over Salina Sidakowa, Belarus and Brianne Barry from Canada.
In 2009 she was second behind Maria Gurowa in the Russian Junior Championship in the weight class up to 55 kg . In her first year as a senior wrestler, Irina Ologonowa won the title of Russian champion ahead of Tuchbatullina in her hometown of Ulan-Ude in 2011 in the weight class up to 55 kg. For the second time she won this title in 2014, again in the weight class up to 55 kg.
In March 2014, she represented the Russian colors in the Team World Cup in Tokyo, in which the Russian team finished 2nd behind Japan. In the final battle she lost against Kanako Murata . In April 2014 it was used for the first time among the senior women at an international championship. At the European Championships in Vantaa / Finland she won in the weight class up to 55 kg in her first fight against Irina Husjak from Ukraine, then lost to Sofia Mattsson from Sweden and secured a bronze medal in the consolation round with a victory over Bediha Gün from Turkey . Irina Ologonova was even more successful at the 2014 World Cup in Tashkent. She won there over Karina Sanchez from Spain, Brittanee Laverdure from Canada, Marwa Amri from Tunisia and Irina Chariw from Ukraine and thus stood in the final against Chiho Hamada from Japan, against whom she lost just 3: 4 points. She became vice world champion in the weight class up to 55 kg body weight.
In June 2015 she competed in the 1st European Games in Baku, again in the weight class up to 55 kg. She won there first over Katarina Hanchar-Janukewitsch from Belarus, but then lost to Katarzyna Krawczyk from Poland and Ewelina Nikolowa from Bulgaria and finished in 5th place. She was much more successful at this year's World Championships in Las Vegas. There she won over Tetjana Kit from Ukraine, Jasmine Mian from Canada and Katarina Hanchar-Yanukevich, but lost in the final against Helen Maroulis from the United States and was thus runner-up again.
Although Irina Ologonowa at the "Ivan Yarigin" Grand Prix in Krasnoyarsk in January 2016 in the weight class up to 53 kg, in which she had trained because this weight class was Olympic in contrast to the weight class up to 55 kg in 2016, only placed 5th occupied, it was used in March 2016 at the European Championships in Riga. She convinced there completely and was European champion with victories over Ramona Galambos, Hungary, Eileen Friedrich, Germany, Pricob, Romania and Tetjana Kit. In two subsequent qualifying tournaments for the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, however, she did not manage to qualify for these games. In April 2016 it took 3rd place in Zrenjanin and only 7th place in May 2016 in Istanbul. A second place would have been necessary for qualification in one of these tournaments. At the world championship in the non-Olympic weight classes in Budapest in December 2016, she started again in the weight class up to 55 kg and won there over Burcu Kebic, Turkey, Jaqueline Schellin , Germany, Davaadsuch Otgontsetseg, Mongolia and Katarina Hanchar Januschkewitsch, Belarus . She was in the final, in which she was defeated against Mayu Mukaida from Japan.
In 2017, Irina Ologonova did not appear in any international championships, but she competed in the European championship in Kaspiisk in the weight class up to 57 kg in May 2018. There she defeated Szilvia Peter from Sweden, Salina Sidakowa from Belarus and Aljona Kolesnik from Azerbaijan, but lost in the final against the young Biljana Dudowa from Bulgaria. Irina Ologonova made her last start at an international championship in October 2018 in Budapest in the same weight class. She came there only to a victory over Mia-Lahnee Ramos Aquino from Guam and was defeated in the round of 16 against the Chinese Zhang Qi. Since this did not reach the Finaloe, she was eliminated and only came in 8th place.
