Career
Jamie Lundmark began his career as a hockey player in the Western Hockey League , where he was active from 1998 to 2001 for the Moose Jaw Warriors and the Seattle Thunderbirds . During this time he was selected in the first round of the 1999 NHL Entry Draft as the ninth player by the New York Rangers . In the 2001/02 season Lundmark played for the first time for New York's farm team , the Hartford Wolf Pack from the American Hockey League . In his second season in the franchise, the Canadian made his National Hockey League debut for the New York Rangers in the 2002–03 season . During the lockout of the 2004/05 NHL season , the attacker was on the ice for both the Hartford Wolf Pack and HC Bozen from the Italian A1 series .
After resumption of play in the NHL Lundmark returned to the Rangers, but for which he only completed three games before he was transferred to the Phoenix Coyotes . These in turn handed it over to the Calgary Flames shortly before the end of the trade deadline . In Calgary Lundmark also stayed only a year before ending the 2006/07 season with the Los Angeles Kings . He then joined the Lake Erie Monsters from the AHL, for which he ran up in the 2007/08 season as well as for HK Dynamo Moscow from the Russian Super League . In the summer of 2008, Lundmark received a contract with the Calgary Flames as a free agent .
There he was used regularly, but was also found in the farm teams, the Quad City Flames and Abbotsford Heat . In February 2010, he was waivered by the Flames and selected by the Toronto Maple Leafs before the deadline . After the end of the season, his contract was not renewed and Lundmark decided to sign a contract with the Nashville Predators . After he had played in the farm team at the Milwaukee Admirals in the AHL until January 2011 , he moved to Timrå IK in the Elitserien , where he played 18 games.
In August 2011, Lundmark was signed by Dinamo Riga from the Continental Hockey League . After the end of the following season, Lundmark was signed by the EC KAC from the Austrian ice hockey league in May 2012. In his first season he won the championship title of the Austrian league with the Klagenfurt team, he also advanced to the top scorer of the KAC with 67 points and won the election of most valuable player in the league ahead of Derek Ryan (EC VSV) and Matt Zaba (Vienna Capitals). He was the first KAC player to receive this award and also the first player in league history to receive this award who was able to win the championship title with his team in the same season. With 14 goals outnumbered, he also scored the most power play hits in the league. Hockey News Austria also voted him Player of the Year.
In 2013/14 the KAC missed the play-off, Lundmark scored 28 points in 37 appearances in the regular season. In 2014/15 Lundmark reached the play-off semifinals with the KAC and was again top scorer of the Klagenfurt team with 62 points, and he was again named Player of the Year by Hockey News Austria. Lundmark signed a new contract with the KAC before he went on his home leave, which lasted until the summer of 2017 and included an option for the club to exit after the first year. In 2015/16 the KAC was eliminated in the play-off quarter-finals, but Lundmark was again the top scorer of the Klagenfurt team with 61 points and was sixth in the league.
In 2016/17 Lundmark reached the final with the KAC and was able to score 32 goals and 28 assists, making him top scorer again for the Klagenfurt team and only four goals behind Anthony Iob's KAC legionnaire record . In addition, he received the second most votes in the election of the most valuable player in the league behind Riley Holzapfel . The KAC also announced a contract extension with Lundmark until the end of the 2017/18 season.
In November 2017, Lundmark set Anthony Iob's legionnaires record in Klagenfurt with his 137th goal and thus became the record champions' best foreign goalscorer in its 108-year history. After the elimination of the KAC in the quarterfinals, Lundmark announced the end of his career.
