Jimmy Bower
Jimmy Bower (* 19th September 1968 ), actually James Bower , an American Metal - and sludge - guitarist , drummer and songwriter , who played in many well-known bands, including Eyehategod , Crowbar , Down and Super Joint Ritual . Bower was also known as the "Godfather of Southern Metal" because he helped shape the metal and hardcore scene in New Orleans as a founding member of three groups. He also worked as a producer, for example for My Uncle the Wolf .
Career
Jimmy Bower co-founded EyeHateGod as guitarist in 1988 and the band Crowbar as their drummer in 1989, which he left in 1990 to work for EyeHateGod. In 1995 he co-founded Down and played their first album NOLA on drums. From 1996 to 1998 he worked again for Crowbar, but then initially focused again on EyeHateGod. However, he also dealt with additional projects later. In 2001 he played live for Corrosion of Conformity , again in 2002 for Down and Superjoint Ritual.
