Joseph Ralph "Joe" Napolitano (seldom also JR Napolitano , born November 22, 1948 in Brooklyn , New York City , New York ; died July 23, 2016 in Los Angeles , California ) was an American television director . He has also worked as an assistant director for many well-known film directors . His creative period extended from 1974 to the end of his life in 2016 and includes over 50 productions.

life and work

Napolitano's long list of produced series episodes as a director includes twelve episodes of Back to the Past , two episodes of The X-Files , two episodes of Picket Fences , three episodes of Pretender , two episodes of LA Doctors , two episodes from Dawson's Creek , four episodes from Boston Public, and 14 episodes from Strong Medicine: Two Doctors Like Fire and Ice . Likewise, two television films, you are an angel! ( Earth Angel) and Virus (Contagious) . For her role in the latter, actress Elizabeth Peña received an ALMA Award in 1998 for Outstanding Actress in a Made-for-Television Movie or Mini-Series .

In the 1980s Joe Napolitano also worked regularly on feature films as assistant director for great directors such as Brian De Palma (on Blow Out - Death Erases All Traces , Scarface , Death Comes Twice , Wise Guys - Two Super Plums in the Underworld , The Untouchables - The Untouchables ), Brian G.
