Joseph Tucker

Joseph Tucker (born August 21, 1832 in Lenox , Berkshire County , Massachusetts , †  November 28, 1907 in Pittsfield , Massachusetts) was an American politician . Between 1869 and 1873 he was lieutenant governor of the state of Massachusetts.

There are hardly any usable sources about Joseph Tucker. But his life data are secured. He was born in Lenox in 1832 and died in Pittsfield in 1907. He was a judge and a member of the Massachusetts General Court . Politically, he belonged to the Republican Party . In 1868 he was elected lieutenant governor of Massachusetts alongside William Claflin . He held this office between 1869 and 1873. He was Deputy Governor . From 1872 he served under Nathaniel Prentiss Banks .
