Juazeiro , officially Portuguese Município de Juazeiro , is a Brazilian city in the Brazilian state of Bahia in the Região Nordeste region . The distance to the capital Salvador is 502 km.
Geography and climate
The city is located on the south side of the Rio São Francisco opposite the twin city of Petrolina in the state of Pernambuco .
