Julian Tobias Emilio Vonmoos (born April 1, 2001 in Münsterlingen ) is a Swiss football player who is under contract with FC Basel .
Career
society
Vonmoos began his career at FC Romanshorn . In January 2013 he switched to the youth team at FC St. Gallen . For the 2016/17 season he switched to the youth of the Grasshopper Club Zurich . For the 2018/19 season he moved to FC Basel , where he received a contract that ran until June 2021.
First he came to Basel for the U-21 team in the third-class Promotion League , for which he made his debut in August 2018 against AC Bellinzona . In the same month he scored his first goal in the third-highest Swiss division in a 4-1 loss to Stade Nyonnais . In October 2018 he played against Hamilton Academical for the first time for the Basel U-19 team in the UEFA Youth League .
In March 2019 Vonmoos was in the professional matchday squad for the first time against FC Lugano . He made his Super League debut in May 2019 when he came on as a substitute for Noah Okafor on matchday 36 against Neuchâtel Xamax in the 74th minute . In the game that Basel won 4-1, he scored the goal in the 90th minute.
National team
Vonmoos played for a Swiss youth national team for the first time in September 2015. In August 2017 he made his debut for the U-17 selection , with which he took part in the European Championships in 2018 . Vonmoos led the Swiss as captain in all three games; Despite two victories, the Swiss had to retire as third in Group A in the group stage.
In October 2018 he came to his first assignment for the U-19 team .
