Blás Miguel Riveros Galeano (born February 3, 1998 in Itauguá ) is a Paraguayan football player . He is mainly used in defense and has been under contract with FC Basel in the Swiss Super League since the 2016/17 season .

Career

Club Olimpia

Riveros started playing youth football at Club Olimpia in Asunción, the capital of Paraguay . In 2015 he won the Primera División with his club.

FC Basel

On May 4, 2016, FC Basel announced the signing of Riveros. He signed a five-year contract until the summer of 2021. Due to Rivero's obligations with the national team at the Copa America , he was only expected with the team in early July. He made his debut for the first team of FC Basel on October 15, 2016 in a 3–0 home against Lucerne . Under coach Urs Fischer Riveros won the championship 2016/17 the championship with FCB. For the club it was the 8th title in a row and the 20th title in the club's history. They also won the cup competition on May 25, 2017 with three to zero against Sion and thus the double .

National team

Riveros played for the Paraguayan U-17s . On May 28, 2016 Riveros made his debut for the national team in the 1-0 loss to Mexico .
