Since 2007, the left-shooter has been playing for Sokol Kiev again, initially for two years in the Russian Wysschaya League and since 2009 in the Belarusian Extra League, where he was again Ukrainian champions in 2009 in parallel with Sokol's second team. In the 2010/11 season , Hunko and Sokol Kiev took part in the IIHF Continental Cup at European level .
