Jutta Abromeit (birth name until 1984 Jutta Raeck , born September 17, 1959 in Ludwigsfelde ) is a rower from the German Democratic Republic .

Jutta Raeck was a track and field athlete at Einheit / Kali Wolmirstedt from 1966 to 1975. Since 1975 she has been training at SC Berlin-Grünau , rowing department. From 1978 to 1985 she was a member of the GDR national rowing team with a call to the two Olympic teams in 1980 and 1984. In 1979 she won the silver medal behind the Soviet boat at the World Championships in Bled with the GDR eighth . In 1980 she won her first GDR championship title at the GDR championships in a foursome .

The four in the line-up Carola Lichey , Steffi Götzelt , Jutta Abromeit, Kerstin Spittler and taxwoman Daniela Neunast won in 1985 both the GDR championships and the world championships in Hazewinkel, Belgium. This four-man is the first boat ever to win a world championship title in international competitions on the 2000-meter course for women newly introduced by the world rowing association FISA. All members of the foursome sat in the eighth place at the GDR championships in 1985, which took second place.

The 1.86 m tall Jutta Abromeit is still active in the senior sector as a rower for SC Berlin-Grünau. Since 1993 she has been taking part in international regattas and ergometer competitions in the Masters division. Among other things, she won one of the legendary CRASH-B hammers, the trophy at the Ergometer World Championships in Boston (2010 / AK 50 to 54), holds the German record for 30 minutes of ergometer rowing in the AK 50 to 54 with 7667 meters and last started at the World Masters Games 2017 in New Zealand (four medals in four starts).

Jutta Abromeit works as an editor at Märkische Allgemeine in her hometown Ludwigsfelde (including reports with "Frontal 21", interviews with the Belgian psychotherapist Esther Perel ).
