Károly Peller (born May 27, 1979 in Budapest ) is a Hungarian operetta singer ( tenor ), actor and dancer .

Life

Károly Peller's parents are Károly Peller sen. and Klára Splény, who come from the south of Budapest. Károly Peller completed his training at Gundel Károly Vendéglátóipari és Idegenforgalmi Szakképző Iskolá and then completed his acting and singing training at the renowned Budapest Operetta Theater (1998). Since then, as a member of the ensemble, he has sung many leading roles at the Budapest Operettenhaus. Between 1998 and 2001 he was also a permanent guest actor at the National Theater in Györ . From 2006 to 2009 he was a guest soloist at the Vienna Volksoper , and from 2014 to 2015 he played guest roles in Debrecen and Oradea. Various guest appearances lead him u. a. to Germany ( Deutsches Theater Munich , Prinzregententheater , Gasteig , Musical Dome Cologne, Gewandhaus Leipzig, Schloss Thurn und Taxis Regensburg), Vienna ( Wiener Konzerthaus ), Amsterdam, London ( Sadler's Wells ), Rome (Teatro Quirino), Prague ( Hudební divadlo Karlín ), Canada, Japan, the USA ( Lincoln Center ), Russia ( Moscow Conservatory , Yekaterinburg, Saint Petersburg), Israel ( Israeli Opera , Tel Aviv), Romania, Bulgaria and India. He performs regularly at the famous Palace Concert at Buda Castle. From 2013 to 2016 he also completed training as a director.

He had a role in the Hungarian evening series Jóban Rosszban . In 2017 he appeared on the TV show A nagy duet with Luca Stohl. Károly Peller is also a regular guest on various Hungarian talk shows.
