Kaan Kigen Özbilen (birth name Mike Kipruto Kigen; born January 15, 1986 ) is a Turkish long-distance runner of Kenyan origin.

In 2006 he was fifth in the endurance race at the World Cross Country Championships in Fukuoka and won gold with the Kenyan team. At the African Athletics Championships in Bambous , he won silver over 5000 m and 10,000 m . Then he finished seventh over 5000 m at the World Athletics Finals in Stuttgart and second at the World Athletics Cup in Athens .

In 2008 he came fourth in the world athletics final in Stuttgart over 3000 m . In 2010 he was fourth at the Parelloop and second at the Grand 10 Berlin and the Course de l'Escalade . The following year he was fifth in the Lisbon Half Marathon , second in the Parelloop and third in the Delhi Half Marathon . In 2012 a third place at the Azkoitia – Azpeitia half marathon was followed by a second at the Würzburg Residence Run and a fourth at the Great North Run .

In his debut over the 42.195 km distance, he finished eighth in the Dubai Marathon in 2:08:24 in 2013 . In the fall, he finished eleventh in the Chicago Marathon . In 2014 he finished third in the Paris Half Marathon and seventh in the Paris Marathon . At the Great North Run he finished in 1:00:00 h at the same time as the winner Mo Farah , and at the Frankfurt Marathon , ten seconds behind the winner, Mark Kosgei Kiptoo, he finished second in 2:06:59 h. At the end of the year he won the San Silvestre Vallecana .

At the beginning of 2015 he finished third in the Adana half marathon and fifth in the RAK half marathon . A fourth place in the Paris Marathon was followed by a third place in the Great North Run. After a change of nationality for Turkey he also came third at the Amsterdam Marathon , and he defended his title at the San Silvestre Vallecana.

In March 2016, he improved the almost 16-year-old European record by António Pinto to 2:06:10 h in third place at the Seoul International Marathon . At the half marathon of the European Athletics Championships in Amsterdam he won silver, and at the marathon of the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro he ran a 17th place.
